Terms of Service

Travel Journals is a travel journaling app and publishing site (traveljournals.app) operated by TravelingSober LLC, a Florida, USA company ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Travel Journals you agree to these terms.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account.

Your login is a TravelingSober LLC account: the same email and password work across our products. One account, one set of credentials, and one deletion: deleting your account removes it from every TravelingSober LLC product, along with everything stored under it.

Your journals

Everything you write is private by default. Nothing you write is ever shown to anyone unless you publish it.

You own your journals. When you choose to publish a journal, you give us a non-exclusive license to host, format, and display it publicly on traveljournals.app. That license exists so we can run the site, and it ends for any journal you unpublish or delete. Publishing also makes your author name, and any author photo, bio, or social links you have added, publicly visible alongside your journals.

You can unpublish or delete any journal at any time from the app. Public copies disappear from the site when it next rebuilds, normally within minutes. Search engines and archives outside our control may retain copies of pages that were public.

Acceptable use

Published journals are public writing, read by anyone. Do not publish:

  • content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy. Publish only writing and photos that are yours;
  • personal information about another person without their consent, including identifiable photos of others who have not agreed;
  • photos or personal details of minors;
  • harassment, hate, threats, or sexually explicit content;
  • spam, advertising, or content generated primarily for search-engine manipulation.

We may unpublish or remove content that violates these rules, and may suspend or close accounts for serious or repeated violations. To report content that shouldn't be on the site, email admin@travelingsober.com with a link to the page. We review every report.

The service

Travel Journals is currently free. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind; we work to keep it reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and journals are not a backup service. Keep copies of writing you cannot afford to lose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TravelingSober LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the past twelve months.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Questions: admin@travelingsober.com.
